Like many New Year beginnings, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released an updated Workers' Compensation Medicare Set Aside (WCMSA) Reference Guide. In many prior versions of this guide, CMS has stated, “Submission of a WCMSA proposal to CMS for review and approval is a recommended process.
